Scholarly Writing

Scholarly Writing

Supporting your scholarly productivity is core to OFD’s mission. Our writing programs offer community, connection, and accountability to faculty writers. Throughout the year, OFD offers programming to provide guidance and opportunities in writing and publishing as well as venues for celebrating your writing achievements.

A Writing Accountability Circle (WAC) is a small group of colleagues who meet weekly to write and share progress on individual projects. WACs offer dedicated writing time and support from facilitators and colleagues.

OFD’s Scholarly Writing Program includes writing retreats and workshops, book publishing workshops, and more.

Scholarly Writing Fellows partner with OFD to catalyze interdisciplinary support for writing and to expand a mutual support community of faculty writers on campus.

Editors and writing coaches can offer support during your writing, help you brainstorm ideas, structure your writing, and provide feedback. OFD maintains a list of editors and coaches for your referral.
