On Founders Day, UMass Amherst is inviting you – our students, faculty, staff, alumni, family members, neighbors, and visitors curious about our campus – to make time to explore our museums, galleries, green houses, libraries, and maker spaces. Come connect with one another, catch the UMass spirit, take in a performance and engage with university experts on everything from campus trees and pollinators to the latest research in robotics, social science, and wellbeing.

This year the Founders Day schedule is comprised of more than 30 activities in six themed tracks, across 18 locations around campus, and spans 11 hours. From interactive information tables, spirit stations, tours, and open houses to inside looks at laboratories, collections, gardens, and galleries. Founders Day is a chance for our community to choose your own path, explore where big ideas are born, and experience our commitment to the common good.
