Ryan S. Wells, educational policy, research and administration, was awarded a one-year, $49,000 research grant from AccessLex Institute and the Association for Institutional Research (AIR) for his project titled “Graduate and Professional Education for Students with Disabilities: Examining Access to STEM, Medical, and Legal Fields.”
The study will address the underrepresentation of students with disabilities in graduate and professional education. Looking specifically at STEM, medical and legal fields of study, the project examines how lack of affordability and positive aspirations for further education may play a role in disproportionate access to graduate and professional education.
