Three Minute Thesis Competition to Host Campus Final

The Graduate School will host the fourth annual Three Minute Thesis Campus Final on Friday, Feb. 28, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in Old Chapel. Three Minute Thesis (3MT) events challenge graduate students to communicate the significance of their research in non-technical language, in three minutes or less.

The 3MT Campus Final features 10 finalists who advanced from a series of preliminary rounds. Finalists include:

  • Mimi Alkattan, civil and environmental engineering
  • Jarrel De Matas, English
  • Olivia Ekeh, Afro-American studies
  • Mrinalini Ghoshal, microbiology
  • Kelin Loe, English
  • Arash Manafirad, chemistry
  • Dipika Nandi, animal biotechnology and biomedical Sciences/
  • Jennifer Ryan, environmental conservation
  • Kashyap Sundara Rajan, mechanical and industrial engineering
  • Kira Tait, political science

Friday's 3MT Campus Final is open to the public and the audience will be invited to vote on a People’s Choice”winner. Winners are announced live at the event during a reception.
