Registration Open for Digital Equity & Inclusion Week March 3-7
Registration is now open for UMass Amherst Information Technology’s (UMass IT) fourth annual Digital Equity & Inclusion Week, “DEIW 2025: Beyond Compliance – Digital Accessibility for the Common Good,” taking place from March 3-7 online and in-person.

All UMass faculty, staff and students are invited to join UMass IT, campus partners and DEIW collaborators for free events designed to heighten awareness and enhance digital access and inclusion across campus. The comprehensive series will feature virtual sessions, workshops, among other events. With an array of sessions, keynotes and panels with esteemed speakers, participants will learn how to foster a digitally inclusive campus that extends beyond mere compliance.
On Tuesday, March 4, from 10-11 a.m., keynote speaker Lainey Feingold, a disability rights lawyer who believes digital accessibility is about more than legal compliance and has spent decades focusing on digital accessibility, will present on Zoom, “More Important Than Ever: The Power of Digital Accessibility to Create a UMass Community of Inclusion.”
In this keynote, Feingold will provide attendees with up-to-date information about the digital accessibility higher education legal space while shining a light on what makes the Massachusetts legal environment disability friendly. She’ll also share best practices to leverage digital accessibility for campuswide collaborations and disability inclusion. Register here.
