Changemakers Video Series Launches Featuring UMass Faculty

The University of Massachusetts Amherst’s Office of News and Media Relations has launched a new video series called “Changemakers,” which focuses on faculty working on research related to topics in current national and international conversations.

The first video in the series featured Nefertiti Walker, vice chancellor for diversity, equity and inclusion, discussing her work with The Collective Think Tank, a global consortium of some of today’s greatest academic minds and industry leaders focused on gender parity and improving diversity. A first of its kind, this group will share data, insights and information to promote more opportunity for women to succeed in sports.

The series continues with Ethan Zuckerman, associate professor of public policy, communication, and information, as well as director of the UMass Initiative for Digital Public Infrastructure, discussing his work to reimagine the internet as a tool for civic engagement. More videos are in the works with UMass faculty who are making news and sharing their expertise as thought leaders and changemakers in their fields.
