Campus Community Invited to I-Corps @ UMass Amherst Innovation Showcase on Jan. 9

As UMass Amherst prepares to launch the new NSF I-Corps Hub: New England Region partnership program in January, the campus community is invited to support the university’s innovation and entrepreneurship and learn more about some of the most exciting technologies emerging from UMass at a free, half-day showcase event celebrating the successes and conclusion of the I-Corps @ UMass site program on Thursday, Jan. 9.
I-Corps @ UMass Amherst has provided training and experience to support teams of students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty and staff aiming to transfer technological discoveries into products and services that meet the needs of customers and users.
The event, which will take place in the LSL Conference Center on the third floor of the Life Science Laboratories, will kick off with lunch served from noon-1 p.m., followed by sessions on broadening participation in innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E), lightning talks by representatives of successful I-Corps alumni companies, and a fireside chat on the future of I-Corps & the I&E ecosystem at UMass. The showcase will culminate in a reception and poster session from 4-6 p.m., where participants can network and learn more about the most exciting technologies emerging from UMass today.
Registration to attend the event is required by Jan. 2.
