Brain Waves: Emerging Applications of MR Elastography in Neuroimaging

Richard Ehman, MD

Mayo Clinic

Thursday, December 10

Morrill III rm. 203

1:00-2:15 PM

This presentation explores emerging applications of MR elastography in neuroscience. Promising applications include preoperative planning for tumor resection and detection of recurrence.  MRE provides novel biomarkers for reliably distinguishing normal pressure hydrocephalus, which is treatable, from other neurodegenerative conditions.
