The College of Engineering and the College of Nursing jointly invite you to learn more about a brand-new dual degree program in biomedical engineering (BME) and nursing. In this track you will earn two BS degrees that impact healthcare: one that develops innovative solutions and another that utilizes and applies them into direct care. Two degrees, twice the impact— and double the career options in both or either field!

Plan of Study

Open to current Biomedical Engineering undergraduates. For this dual-degree, BME and Nursing plans of study are integrated and custom fit for the BME student based on courses taken. The projected time for the program includes the need to complete an additional year of study that includes online winter and summer sessions.

It is optimal to enroll during your first-year or sophomore year, so that you can plan accordingly and streamline the process of obtaining both degrees in five years.  If you are interested but a junior/senior, you should consider enrolling in the Accelerated BS in Nursing program after graduation.

Additional cost considerations, outside the typical BME major, include a few University+ courses and fees applied in the nursing program.
