The College of Natural Sciences is home to over 1,000 M.S. and Ph.D. students across 20 graduate programs. CNS graduate students excel in coursework and conduct groundbreaking research in life, environmental, computational, and physical sciences. They have access to campus research centers and institutes that span the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, allowing for field work, cutting-edge techniques, and interdisciplinary, collaborative research. CNS graduate students are supported by their faculty advisors, graduate program, department, and college, as well as the wider UMass campus and Amherst community.
