Commencement Celebration
Let's celebrate the Class of 2024!
Commencement is a special time to celebrate our graduating students and their educational journey. Each of our soon-to-be graduates should be incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication that has brought them to this meaningful and joyous milestone.
Information detailing all aspects of Commencement activities will be posted to the website and sent to graduates via email. For more university event details, please visit the official commencement website.

Graduate Commencement Ceremony
Friday, May 17 at 10:00 a.m.
McGuirk Alumni Stadium
Event includes distinguished speakers and welcome honored guests, and degrees are conferred. Each student will be individually recognized: Names are read, students cross the stage, shake hands, and have individual portraits taken. Doctoral students will be hooded by their advisor or a member of the faculty.
Undergraduate Seniors
Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony

The main “official” undergraduate commencement ceremony is large, fun and celebratory. Pre-event Reception Under the Tent
Saturday, May 18 at 3-5p.m.
Engineering Quad, UMass Amherst
There will be an informal reception held from 3-5pm on May 18 in the Engineering Quad for graduates, families, and faculty to enjoy light refreshments prior to the College of Engineering Senior Recognition Ceremony. Please wear your cap and gown so we can take department photos.
College of Engineering Senior Recognition Ceremony
