Commencement Celebration
Let's celebrate the Class of 2025!
Commencement is a special time to celebrate our graduating students and their educational journey. Each of our soon-to-be graduates should be incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication that has brought them to this meaningful and joyous milestone.
Information detailing all aspects of Commencement activities will be posted to the website and sent to graduates via email. To be sure you are on the email list, please verify your graduation data in SPIRE. Students who are expected to graduate in fall 2025 or spring 2026, but want to walk in May 2025, must contact the Registrar's Office, Diploma and Graduation Services, at reggrad [at] registrar [dot] umass [dot] edu (subject: ) (reggrad[at]registrar[dot]umass[dot]edu) no later than March 31, 2025.

Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony
Friday, May 16 at 5:00 p.m.
McGuirk Alumni Stadium
The main “official” undergraduate commencement ceremony is large, fun and celebratory. Degrees are officially conferred; the student commencement band performs; and remarks are given by the Chancellor, keynote, and student speaker. This is the first time the whole class will assemble together since starting at UMass. Graduates will be recognized en masse by school/college.
College of Engineering Senior Recognition Ceremony
Friday, May 16 at 1:00 p.m.
Mullins Center, UMass Amherst
This event gives us a chance to recognize and celebrate our graduating seniors on a more personal level. Graduates will walk across the stage, be congratulated by college leaders and faculty, have their name announced, and receive a university commemorative medal as well as a small gift from the college. Each graduate’s time on stage will be broadcast on large video screens and captured by a professional photographer.
Tickets will be required for all senior ceremonies. More information about tickets, including the number of tickets each candidate will receive, will be communicated soon at the official commencement website.
If you have any questions about the college's celebration, please email coeadvising [at] umass [dot] edu (coeadvising[at]umass[dot]edu).
