Fall Career Fairs for Engineering Majors

Career Fair 2024

The College of Engineering and the University will be hosting several exciting career fairs this semester. In addition to directly helping students obtain jobs and internships, these events offer a unique opportunity to practice interacting with potential employers and develop an understanding of the employment landscape for engineering students.

Students looking for help preparing for career fairs are encouraged to consult the Engineering Career Development and Experiential Learning Center, which offers a wide array of services that help students achieve professional success, including one-on-one counseling, mock interviews, and resume and career fair prep workshops.

Hosted by the College of Engineering, the two-day Engineering Career Fair will be held on Monday, September 30 and Tuesday, October 1, from 12pm-4pm in the Campus Center Auditorium. Approximately 50 companies will be present each day, including Bristol Myers Squibb, Delsys, Epic, ISO New England, MACOM, QE Solar, Sensata, Verizon, Dell, Marvell, and Saint Gobain. These companies will be looking for summer interns in addition to co-op and full-time job candidates, so all engineering majors, in all years, are invited to attend. Students will be able to have free professional headshots taken during this event.

The Civil and Environmental Engineering Career Fair will be held the next day—Wednesday, October 2, from 10am-3pm, also in the Campus Center Auditorium—and will feature over 70 companies and organizations, including CDM Smith, Eversource, MassDOT, Haley & Aldrich, Skanska, and Tighe & Bond. While the event is especially geared towards CEE, all engineering majors are encouraged to attend.

Outside of the College of Engineering, there are several additional fairs that are open to engineering students:

  • The Isenberg School of Management Career Days is a two-day event—Tuesday, September 24 and Wednesday, September 25 from 11am-3pm in the Campus Center Auditorium—featuring more than 50 employers each day, including non-profits and corporations of all sizes, across industries including Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Retail, Tech, Manufacturing, Staffing, Wholesale Trade, Real Estate, Consulting, Construction and more.
  • The Tech Jobs & Internship Fair will take place on Friday, September 27 from 10am-3pm in the Campus Center Auditorium. This event will feature approximately 30 employers, including Epic, Fidelity, MITRE, The Hartford, Travelers, and Wayfair.
  • That same day—Friday, September 27, 10am-2pm, in the Olver Design Building—engineering students are invited to attend the Building and Construction Technology Career Fair, which will feature approximately 40 employers in the fields of construction, project management, green building, materials, and building systems.
  • The Life Sciences & Biotech Internship and Job Career Fair will be held on Friday, October 11, from 10am-3pm in the Campus Center Auditorium. Employers that will be in attendance include Baystate Medical Center, the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, and more.

Students can register for these events and more on Handshake.
