Tsuan Hua Feng Distinguished Lecture Series

The Tsuan Hua Feng Distinguished Lecture Series was established to honor the memory of "Tom" Feng, who served on the faculty at the University of Massachusetts for 31 years. Professor Feng joined the faculty in 1951 after receiving his BS in Civil Engineering in 1949 and his MS and PhD degrees from the University of Wisconsin in 1946 and 1950. Dr. Feng was appointed as the first Sanitary Engineering professor at the University. In 1965, he established the Sanitary Engineering Program (later renamed the Environmental Engineering Program) and served as Director until 1974. He was appointed Emeritus Professor following his retirement in 1982.
