As a student in the Public Health Sciences major, you will be part of the effort to understand and address these and other complex public health issues. 

The Public Health Sciences major offers an interdisciplinary curriculum spanning community health education, health policy and management, environmental health sciences, epidemiology, and biostatistics, and is designed to help you connect the dots between science, policy, and practice. Along the way, you will learn from award-winning faculty whose work is improving health outcomes in communities across Massachusetts and around the world.

You will also have opportunities to gain practical experience through internships, research, and outreach programs that promote health and well-being in diverse communities. These hands-on opportunities allow you to practice and develop valuable skills in areas such as:

  • Health care systems and policy analysis
  • Public health communication and advocacy
