Declaring the Public Health Sciences Major

Information for transfer students and those currently enrolled at UMass.

New and Incoming Students

Admissions to the undergraduate degree program are administered through the University Undergraduate Admissions Office. Students may enter the major as freshmen or as transfer students from another college or university. Please refer to their website for requirements and application deadlines.

For Students Currently Enrolled at UMass

Before declaring the public health sciences major, all students must attend an information session, complete the Information Review Survey on our Public Health Sciences Canvas page, and submit the PHS Major Declaration form to confirm your intent to enter the Public Health Sciences major. You should submit the declaration form electronically once you have attended the information session.

If a prospective student would like to learn more about the major but is not ready to declare, then they are welcome to attend the information session and submit the form electronically at a later date.

All info sessions will take place in Arnold House 140 at 5:30 PM unless otherwise noted.
