Jose LaSalle '16

Jose LaSalle '16 is the co-founder and CEO of florrent, a Massachusetts startup commercializing a breakthrough grid-stabilizing supercapacitor storage solution that utilizes patented biomass-based activated carbon material. Prior to co-founding florrent, he worked at two startups as a lead engineer and product manager in the Pacific Northwest. LaSalle is an Activate Fellow. He earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2016 and graduated from the Commonwealth Honors College with a research focus on materials synthesis for energy storage. He serves as a member of the Advisory Board for the Commonwealth Honors College.
