Ian Goodine '21, '22 MS is the CEO and co-founder of rStream Recycling Inc., a Boston-based robotics company building AI-enabled infrastructure to automate waste sorting at live events and large facilities. As CEO, Ian leads company strategy, fundraising, customer partnerships, and long-term product and platform direction, bridging technology development with real-world deployment and scalable business models.
Under Ian’s leadership, rStream has deployed robotic sorting systems at professional sports venues, universities, and large-scale events, translating early-stage R&D into operational systems that deliver measurable diversion and verified environmental impact. He has led the company through multiple commercialization milestones, securing over $4M in non-dilutive funding and building partnerships across the climate, facilities, and robotics ecosystems.
Ian’s background sits at the intersection of applied AI, robotics systems, and technical program leadership. He focuses on aligning engineering execution, unit economics, and customer value as rStream scales from pilots to repeatable deployments. He is an Activate Fellow and has served as Principal Investigator on federally funded programs advancing AI-driven recycling infrastructure in the U.S.
