M.S. Concentration in Microwave Engineering
Microwave Engineering is critical for rapidly expanding application areas in cellular communications, satellite communications, wireless networking, climate and weather sensing, defense, air traffic control, GPS, IoT, and most recently, quantum computing. The microwave aspects of such systems require familiarity with general microwave systems concepts, microwave antennas, high frequency components, and microwave electronics.
In addition to the requirements for our MS degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, the concentration requires taking 5 courses from among the following:
- Microwave Engineering I (E&C-ENG 584)
- Microwave Engineering II (E&C-ENG 585)
- Electromagnetic Field Theory (E&C-ENG 606)
- Microwave Systems Engineering (E&C-ENG 682)
- Active Microwave Circuits (E&C-ENG 683)
- Intro to Radar Systems (E&C-ENG 686)
- Antenna Theory and Design (E&C-ENG 687)
- Phased Arrays (E&C-ENG 689)
