Updated COVID-19 Travel Guidance for UMass Amherst
COVID-19 metrics in Massachusetts and neighboring states continue at levels that support progress on the state Reopening Massachusetts plan and the campus actions for reopening. Unfortunately, many other locations, both international and domestic, are at recently increasing risk for COVID-19 infections.
The Baker administration has announced COVID-19 travel regulations effective July 1, 2020 with a 14-day quarantine requirement for all travelers, including Massachusetts residents, arriving from certain locations. In response to these regulations and increased risks, and to maintain the health and safety of the university community, the university is issuing this update to the guidance from March 12, 2020. This guidance applies to faculty, staff and students, excluding athletic teams which are covered separately due to the unique nature of the travel. This guidance applies until further notice and will be modified as the situation evolves and with additional input from stakeholders.
