Writing Accountability Circles (WACs)

OFD is launching two WACS to begin in October. A WAC is a small group of eight to nine colleagues who meet weekly to write and share their progress on individual writing projects. Sessions include time for brief check-ins and writing. Members should have a commitment to their own writing project, to attending the sessions, and to supporting other circle members in their self-identified writing goals. A facilitator will participate in the first two meetings, followed by peer-led sessions throughout the semester. The first session will be held remotely. Circle members will decide whether to continue to meet remotely or in person for the remaining sessions.

Two WACs will be launched this fall:

  • Mondays, 8:30-10 a.m., Oct. 25-Dec. 13, 8 weeks
  • Thursdays, 1:30-3 p.m., Oct. 28- Dec. 16, 7 weeks, no Thanksgiving session

WACs will be formed on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are accepted through Oct. 8. Notification of acceptance by Oct. 11.
