UMass Amherst community members are encouraged to use the Climate Incident Reporting Form on the Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) website as a way to report incidents of harassment, bullying, racism and any other harmful actions experienced or witnessed within the campus community.

This form provides students, staff and faculty with a safe way to report incidents that have caused harm to themselves, to others, or to the larger community. This includes, but is not limited to, acts of bias, racism, sexism, bullying, homophobia, transphobia and any other acts that have created a negative living, learning and working environment. It can be found in the header of every OEI webpage when viewed on desktop and in the menu when on mobile.

Once a report is filed through this form, the Office of Equity and inclusion will contact the person who filed the report within one to two business days to discuss next steps towards taking action to resolve the incident and to provide any support or resources necessary. If the situation is an emergency and requires immediate assistance or if a crime has occurred, please contact the University of Massachusetts Police Department (UMPD) at 413-545-2121 or dial 9-1-1.
