Music and Dance Sets Vocal, Instrumental Ensemble Auditions

The department of music and dance invites all Five College students to audition for a wide range of vocal and instrumental ensembles for the fall semester. Auditions will be held Sept. 4-7.

By joining one of these groups, students will be able to rehearse and perform with some of New England's most talented collegiate musicians under the leadership of world-renowned faculty.

These ensembles contribute greatly to the vibrant atmosphere of the UMass Amherst campus and also present concerts at a variety of exciting outside events and venues. Some groups, like the award-winning Jazz Ensemble I, Chamber Choir, and Wind Ensemble, are highly competitive, while others like the All-University Orchestra, Concert Band and University Chorale are open to a variety of skill levels.
