Center for Teaching and Learning Podcasts ‘Listen to Learn’ and ‘Flash15’ Returning

The Center for Teaching and Learning announces the return of its “Listen to Learn” and “Flash 15 ” podcasts for educators with new spring 2024 theme that focuses on attention.

“Listen to Learn”  is a program that works like a book club, but with podcast episodes. Before the session, listen to a podcast episode, then join the session for a discussion about the major ideas explored in the episode and implications for teaching. •  "Supporting ADHD Learners" with Karen Costa. Discussion will be held on Friday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m.  Register here.

•  “Create More Effective and Engaging Reading Activities” for developing attentive readers, with Jenae Cohn.  Discussion will be held on Wed, April 10 at 2 p.m. Register here.

“Flash 15” is a series of 15-minute sessions exploring evidence-based teaching techniques.  Faculty leave with a concrete strategy and plan they can implement in their next class. Each Flash 15 also offers optional community discussions the end of session for faculty to ask questions and discuss their individual class contexts. CTL offers three live sessions:
