

Campus Community Invited to Open Forums for Dean of University Libraries Search

The co-chairs of the search advisory committee for dean of University Libraries, Jackie Urla, dean of the Graduate School, and Tilman Wolf, deputy chancellor for operational and organizational strategies and senior vice provost for academic affairs, have announced that four finalists have been identified for the position.
Urla and Wolf invite the UMass Amherst community to open forums with the candidates during their visits to campus Monday, Dec. 9 through Tuesday, Dec. 17.
The forums will be held in person and via Zoom on the following dates:
- Candidate A: Monday, Dec. 9, 2-3 p.m., W.E.B Du Bois Library, 2601
- Candidate B: Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2-3 p.m., Integrative Learning Center (ILC), N101
- Candidate C: Thursday, Dec. 12, 3-4 p.m., W.E.B Du Bois Library, 2601
- Candidate D: Monday, Dec. 16, 1:45-2:45 p.m., Integrative Learning Center (ILC), N101

Dean Nandita Mani, who was named deputy chancellor for institutional effectiveness in June, will continue to lead the Libraries until the new dean is appointed.
