Rim Benoud-Schmitz ’12, Industrial Engineering
Head of Technical Program Management, Amazon  

Rim Benoud-Schmitz is currently the Head of Technical Program Management with Amazon's Just Walk Out Technology organization. She is responsible for a portfolio of large-scale strategic initiatives focused on new hardware/software technology launches, cost reduction, and process improvement. In her previous role, she led Prime Air's Program Management Office for the Engineering, Science, and Technology organization. 

Prior to joining Amazon, she was with the Boeing Company where she was the senior program manager responsible for establishing and leading the program management office for the Engineering Strategy and Operations organization. Previous experiences include assignments with Enterprise Program Management, Global IT Infrastructure, Commercial Airplanes, Boeing & Kingdom of Morocco Aerospace Ecosystem, and Product Development.    

Rim holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an MS degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, an MBA from the University of Washington, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. 

Rim is actively involved in her community and is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation. While working at the Boeing Company, she served as the President of the Boeing Employees Community Fund Puget Sound Chapter leading a committee focused on providing grants to health and human services agencies. She has also served as a community volunteer with United Way of Snohomish County.
