"I have felt supported by Umass Amherst CoE and the Biomedical Engineering Department from the moment I stepped on campus. My curriculum was based on learning practical skills that can be applied in the biomedical engineering industry. I find it interesting there are so many different fields to go into within biomedical engineering, like prosthetics, medical devices, and biomaterials. From being in the lab, working at my on campus job, or spending time with my classmates, I have loved my experience at UMass. I am sad for my time at UMass to be ending, but I am grateful for the opportunities the College and Department have given me!"
After graduation, Julia will be completing her PhD in Biomedical Engineering through the Fulbright Scholarship at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
