“I have encountered a great number of opportunities throughout my time here at UMass; your college experience depends on which ones you take advantage of. I’m very grateful for the community we have in the civil and environmental engineering department, because I give a lot of credit to the support and encouragement that I’ve received from my professors and peers to what I’ve accomplished during my undergraduate career.”

Faye is graduating with dual degrees in Civil Engineering and German Studies. During her time at UMass, Faye conducted research on campus in the areas of drinking water and wastewater treatment, participated in the iSTEP program, and traveled to northern Alaska while participating in the Integrating Geoscience & Engineering in the Arctic program—she also earned her NOLS Wilderness Medicine Certification. After graduation, Faye will be traveling to Germany for the summer to intern for BBE Moldaenke, then will return to UMass in the fall to begin her Master’s degree in the Environmental Engineering program.
