Incoming Student UCard Pickup
- Students Attending an On-campus Ready for the U Session: Students attending in-person Ready for the U sessions, who submit approved photos by the prescribed deadline, will receive their UCards when they come to campus for their sessions. Students attending in-person Ready for the U sessions, who do not submit approved photos by the prescribed deadline will receive their UCards at a later date.
- Domestic Students Not Attending In-Person Ready for the U Sessions: Domestic students (including international students with domestic permanent addresses in SPIRE), who submit approved UCard photos by July 17th, and did not pick up their UCards at an in-person Ready for the U session, will receive their UCards in the mail at their permanent addresses in SPIRE. These UCard will be mailed out either the last week of July or first week of August.
- All Other Students: International students (wihout domestic permanent addesses in SPIRE) and any other students who did not receive a UCard already, will pick up their UCards when they come to campus in the fall.
Other Students, Employees, and NENS UCard Pickup
- UMass Amherst On-Campus Students, Employees and Qualifying NENS: Cardholders will pick up their UCards at the UCard Office located in Room 168, Whitmore Administration Building, 181 Presidents Drive, any time during normal business hours - Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
- Mount Ida Campus Students, Employees, and Qualifying NENS: Cardholders must submit an online request to have their UCards be printed to the Mt. Ida campus. UCards are picked up at the Security Office on the Mt Ida Campus.
- Domestic Online/Remote Students, Employees, and Qualifying NENS: Cardholders must submit an online request to have their UCards mailed to them. Mailed cards typically take 2-4 weeks to receive.
Submitting your UCard Photo
Incoming Spring 2025 students should submit their photos as early as possible, but only after they have paid their deposits.
Photos should be submitted by January 6, 2025 on MyPhoto, please visit the page below for more instructions.
Incoming Student UCard Pickup
Domestic Permanent Addresses who Successfully Submit Approved Photos by January 6th: Undergraduate students who submit approved UCard photos by January 6, 2025, will have their UCards mailed to their domestic permanant addresses (as listed in SPIRE) in January.
All other Students: Students (including graduate and international students) who do not receive their UCards in the mail, will pick up their UCards when they come to campus in the fall.
Other Students, Employees, And Nens

When and Where to Receive your UCard
Domestic Students who Submit Approved Photos by January 6th:
- Domestic students (including international students with domestic permanent addresses in SPIRE), who submit approved UCard photos by January 6th, will receive their UCards in the mail at their permanent addresses in SPIRE.
- These UCard will be mailed out during the second week of January.
All Other Students:
- International students (without domestic permanent addresses in SPIRE) and any other students who did not receive a UCard already, will pick up their UCards when they come to campus in the spring.

Moving in Without a UCard
Students living on-campus in the spring, who cannot pick up their UCard when they move in, will need to go to their Residential Service Desks to get temporary door access cards, until they can get their UCards.
