Kinesiology
Kinesiology focuses on understanding human movement and the role of physical activity and exercise in health and disease. Kinesiologists use tools from behavioral medicine, molecular biology, neuroscience, engineering, medicine, and computer science to solve problems in diverse settings.
Nutrition
Nutritionists study the relationship between food and health challenges like heart disease and diabetes to help people improve their health. The BS in Nutrition develops an understanding of everything from the body’s basic nutrient needs to how economic and other factors affect food access.
Public Health Sciences
Obesity and diabetes prevention, reproductive care, global health, aging, and environmental pollution are among today’s most pressing public health issues. Our public health sciences faculty are experts in these fields and many others — just one reason to earn your BS in public health sciences.
Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences
Speech, language, and hearing sciences provides a comprehensive foundation in normal processes of speech, language, and hearing, as well as an introduction to characteristics of disorders in speech, language, and hearing. It also prepares you for graduate study as a clinical specialist.
Exploratory Track
Designed for any undergraduate curious about these fields, this unique program is geared toward students interested in the quantitative, scientific, and behavioral aspects of population health and wellness, or in working directly with individuals and communities to improve health and wellness.
