Community-Engaged Language and Literacy
The Community Engaged Language and Literacy Lab is directed by Dr. Tim DeLuca. We work with school systems to leverage interprofessional practice to improve outcomes for children with language and literacy needs.
Bilingual Language Development Laboratory
El Laboratorio del Desarrollo Bilingüe – Bilingual Language Development Lab, led by Dr. Megan Gross, studies development in bilingual children with and without communication difficulties to promote gains in both languages.
Sounds2Syntax
The Sounds2Syntax Research Lab at UMass Amherst, led by Dr. Jill Hoover, investigates how children learn language—how they build vocabulary, understand grammar, and make sense of spoken words—and how these language skills interact with executive functions during development.
