About

Basic science and translational research in communication across the lifespan

Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences faculty investigate communication use and needs in speakers and listeners of all ages. In areas as wide-ranging as language development, aphasia, electroacoustics, and consumer-driven healthcare, we use behavioral, neuroimaging, community-based, and machine-learning methods to investigate how people communicate, and how to best support improved communication.
