It has become difficult to advance in the field of public health without significant experience or a master’s level degree. With a bachelor’s degree, look for entry-level positions, often working in a support role. Bachelor graduates may also qualify to work as health education teachers after the additional completion of a state- approved educator program. Organizations in smaller or rural communities, or communities abroad, may be more flexible about hiring public health professionals with undergraduate degrees.
