The Learning Resource Center (LRC) serves as the central academic and undergraduate research support unit at UMass Amherst. We strive to support UMass Amherst undergraduates in all facets of their academic development, and we are committed to helping you reach your iteration of academic success! The Office of Undergraduate Research and Studies (OURS) is the undergraduate research branch of the LRC, and we support undergraduate students by helping them access and obtain on and off-campus research opportunities.

LRC is here to support you during finals. Tuesday, December 9th is the last day of regular operations. We start finals SI sessions and tutoring on reading day, December 10th. Please look on your LRC SI Canvas page for SI Schedule sessions and look at Tutoring Drop-In Schedule for tutoring times!

LRC Hours for Winter 2025-2026
The LRC will reopen for student services in the Spring 2026 semester. The LRC will remain open for administrative purposes during regular business hours, Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.

The Learning Resource Center (LRC) serves as the central academic and undergraduate research support unit at UMass Amherst. We strive to support UMass Amherst undergraduates in all facets of their academic development, and we are committed to helping you reach your iteration of academic success!

At UMass Amherst's LRC, there are three different branches of academic support available to undergraduate students, including Course Based Peer Tutoring (drop in and by appointment), Study Skills Tutoring, and group review sessions or Supplemental Instruction (SI). The Office of Undergraduate Research and Studies (OURS) is the undergraduate research branch of the LRC, and we support undergraduate students in helping them access and obtain on and off campus research opportunities (link to OURS).

LRC and OURS services are built-in campus resources, and they are completely free for UMass undergraduates. We offer EPPI - educationally purposeful peer interactions
