A Master of Science (MS) in Kinesiology provides in-depth knowledge of human movement to prepare professionals for advanced careers in exercise science, clinical rehabilitation, sports performance, and research. It offers specialized, evidence-based training, higher earning potential, and prepares students for doctoral programs or health professional schools.
This Accelerated Master of Science (M.S.) Program (A.M.P) consisting of 32 total credits and is designed for a UMass Kinesiology undergraduate student to complete within 2 semesters beyond their senior year, with 7 credits of graduate course work being completed in the student’s senior year.
The purpose of this program is to provide high performing UMass Kinesiology students with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the science of human movement through a multi-disciplinary graduate curriculum. Graduate-level courses are offered in the four main sub-disciplines in the department, Biomechanics, Movement Neuroscience, Physiology, Physical Activity and Health.
