Retired Faculty Association to Host Talk on South African Democracy

John Higginson, professor of history, will give a talk on “South African Democracy and the Ghosts of Apartheid” at the Retired Faculty Association meeting on Wednesday, March 13 at 11 a.m. in Campus Center 804-808.

Higginson is the author of “Collective Violence and the Agrarian Origins of South African Apartheid, 1900-1948,”  and articles in “African Economic History,” “International Journal of African Historical Studies” and the “Revue canadienne des études africaines.”

The meeting, which is free and open to the public, will begin with coffee, tea and cookies at 10 a.m.
