Young Volunteers Sought for Kinesiology Study

Researchers in the department of kinesiology are seeking young volunteers, ages 1.5-17, for a movement observation in children and adolescents (MOCA) study to improve methods of measuring physical activity using wearable sensors.

Participants will be asked to go about their normal lives while wearing two small activity trackers as researchers record them using video cameras. The researchers will come to the volunteers and work around their schedules.

Parents or guardians should contact Brett Gramann at bgramann@umass.edu, 413/545-1583 for information about participation. Volunteers will receive a $40 Target gift card upon completion of four one-hour sessions.

The sessions are home; sports/activity/playground; community/club/work; and school-based setting (library/coffee shop).
