Working Session on Combatting Linguistic Bias to be Held March 6

As part of the Center for Teaching and Learning's (CTL) Teaching and Diversity Professional Development Series, the International Instructors Working Group will host a working session “I Don’t Understand You! Combatting Linguistic Bias” on Friday, March 6 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in Goodell, room 301.

The group brings together international faculty, graduate students and postdocs to engage in vibrant group-directed discussions and learning.

Facilitated by CTL’s director of programming for diversity, equity and inclusion, Kirsten Helmer, participating provides opportunities to explore in a safe and supportive space how cultural, social and linguistic identities impact teaching and interactions with students.

Refreshments will be provided.
