Women in Engineering and Computing Career Day at UMass Amherst

290 Students from 26 Regional Schools in Grades 9-12 will attend

                 staff and faculty volunteers.

AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts Amherst is holding its Women in Engineering and Computing Career day on Monday, Oct. 28 at the Campus Center. Students in grades 9-12 from 26 schools in the region, including those from Agawam, Amherst, Chicopee Comp, Conservatory of the Arts, Frontier Regional, Hampshire Regional, Holyoke High North, Pittsfield, Sabis International, Smith Academy, Southwick Regional, Springfield Renaissance, West Springfield and Westfield will be participating. Organizers also expect industry professionals from eight corporations to attend along with 35-40 teachers and counselors.

The event includes a speaking program from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by breakout activities. Lunch and access to industry presentations and displays are from 11:10 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. followed by more breakout sessions.
