Webinar Event with Kenyan Writer and Social Activist Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o Set for Oct. 28

On Thursday, Oct. 28, at 5 p.m. (EDT), the comparative literature program and the Spanish and Portuguese studies program, will host a conversation with Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o, Distinguished Professor of English and Comparative Literature and the founding director of the International Center for Writing and Translation at the University of California, Irvine.

The talk is part of “Conversations on Translations,” a collaboration between the comparative literature program and the Spanish and Portuguese studies, which invites two guest speakers each semester to discuss their work and ideas about translation and multilingualism.
