Walker Elected Chair of Northeast Region Research Development Group

Loren Walker, director of the Office of Research Development, has been elected to serve a two-year term as chair of the National Organization of Research Development Professionals (NORDP) Northeast Regional Group.

His term began in June.

NORDP NE is a regional affinity group of NORDP (www.nordp.org), a national peer network of approximately 800 research development professionals established in 2010.

NORDP members work to enable competitive individual and team research at their respective institutions by supporting faculty efforts to secure research funding and initiate and nurture critical partnerships, including throughout the local research enterprise and among institutions.

NORDP NE includes the six New England states and the provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
