Volunteers Needed for Study on Sleep and Hot Flashes
The UMass Amherst Sleep Lab is looking for females ages 45 to 65, who are experiencing sleep disturbances from hot flashes caused by menopause, for a new study on wearable warming and cooling devices.
The at-home study consists of seven weeks of sleep and activity monitoring with self-applied sensors. For two weeks, participants will use an additional wrist-worn device to assess the benefits of a warming and cooling bracelet, and will report your experiences through electronic questionnaires.
Researchers will deliver all equipment to participants’ doorsteps (within 30 miles of UMass Amherst) and communicate entirely by phone or videoconference to maintain proper social distancing.
Participants may receive up to $200.
