ValleyBike to Remain Open for Winter 2021-22

ValleyBike Share, Pioneer Valley’s regional e-assist bike sharing system, is excited to announce that it will remain open throughout the 2021-22 winter months.

Passes and memberships are available for purchase on the ValleyBike website www.valleybike.org and the official ValleyBike mobile applications (iOS and Android).

ValleyBike members and the general public will be notified via social media and on the website when weather conditions will force the program to temporarily shut down. Expect system closures during events such as snowstorms, ice storms, extreme cold weather spells, etc. Visit www.valleybike.org or the official ValleyBike share mobile application for real-time station status and bike availability.

Stations hibernating until next Spring: No bikes will be available at Jackson St. and State St./Mass Rail Trail stations in Northampton

  • Winter hours of operation: 24/7
  • Winter hours of Customer Service: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days/week
  • Users will be able to unlock bikes with the official ValleyBike Share mobile application (available on iOS and Android devices) or with their fob.
  • Memberships and passes are available to purchase via the Official ValleyBike Mobile Application and on the ValleyBike website
  • Payment kiosks screens will not be in service but bikes will be available at those stations
  • There will be a smaller number of bikes available than during summer months
