UMass Students Plan Gathering to “End Polarization, Promote Peace”

The UMass student group “Promote Peace UMass” is planning an event Tuesday, Nov. 12 to “affirm the value of dignity and respect for all, and to promote a respectful discourse about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict aimed towards peace and understanding.”

UMass students and community members are invited to attend the  “End Polarization, Promote Peace” event. It will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Kendrick Park in downtown Amherst, followed by a walk through campus and ending with a community gathering from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the UMass Amherst Newman Center. The community gathering will include a conversation circle, conversation table, peace art, food and song.

Parking will be available at the Robsham Visitor’s Center, which is a short walk from Kendrick Park.
