The UMass Board of Trustees appointed tenure to three UMass Amherst faculty members and approved an endowed professorship at their quarterly meeting held on April 10.

The faculty members receiving tenure appointments are:

  • Michael Fox, dean of the College of Natural Sciences
  • Arzum Akkas, associate professor, operations and information management, Isenberg School of Management
  • Gabriela Richard, associate professor, teacher education and curriculum studies, College of Education

The trustees also appointed Mila Getmansky Sherman, professor of finance in the Isenberg School of Management, to the Fuller and Meehan Endowed Professorship.
