UMass Amherst LatinX Theatre and Performance Welcomes Elaine del Valle
Stephanie Fetta, associate professor in languages, literatures and cultures, is hosting a series of online workshops conducted by several award-winning Latin@/x playwrights, directors and performers.
Guest speakers include Elaine del Valle Sept. 22 and 29, Octavio Solís, Oct. 13 and José Roldán, Nov. 10. they will be sharing some valuable knowledge about their craft and their experiences as Latin@/x artists.
Elaine del Valle, recipient of the 2017 Madrina Award, will be giving a lecture on her play, film and novel “Brownsville Bred,” followed by a workshop on Sept. 29 on how to craft a solo performance.
Fetta is extending this invitation to Spanish heritage speakers with an interest in theatre, film or performance who would like to engage in conversation with a Latin@/x artists
