UMass Amherst to Host Celebration of the Arts, Renaming Facilities for Randolph Bromery and Fred Tillis; Renovated Arts Bridge with New Academic Facilities to be Unveiled

WHERE: Randolph W. Bromery Center for the Arts, 151 Presidents Drive, UMass Amherst

The University of Massachusetts Amherst will celebrate the arts on campus during a ceremony to officially rename the Fine Arts Center facility on campus as the Randolph W. Bromery Center for the Arts and the center’s main stage as the Frederick C. Tillis Performance Hall. There also will be a dedication ceremony for the newly renovated Arts Bridge inside the Bromery Center and ribbon-cuttings for the Laura Bailey Costume Shop and the Julie C. Hayes and Claude Bersano Recording Studio, also in the Bromery Center.

UMass Amherst Chancellor Kumble R. Subbaswamy, College of Humanities and Fine Arts Dean Barbara Krauthamer and Fine Arts Center Director Jamilla Deria will welcome UMass President Martin Meehan and several guests and donors to the event. The media and public are also welcome.
