UMass Amherst Enters into Collaboration with The Ken Blanchard Companies To Offer Online Management Training Workshops

AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts Amherst and The Ken Blanchard Companies have entered a strategic collaboration to provide a new online learning experience for professional development.

The collaboration will create convenient, affordable access to multiple management training workshops including Building Trust, Coaching Essentials, The SLII Experience, First-time Manager, Self-Leadership and Legendary Service. Expert facilitators from The Ken Blanchard Companies will deliver live, virtual training sessions that allow participants to experience world-class content remotely anytime, anyplace.

“UMass Amherst wants to create learning experiences that support the needs of our students at every stage of their education and professional lives,” said John Wells, senior vice provost for lifelong learning at UMass Amherst. “As part of the broader University Without Walls offerings, professional development programs such as these support the goal of offering students lifelong access to the UMass Amherst experience.”    

The programs will be offered to both current students and alumni at a discounted rate. The programs are ideal for alumni currently in leadership positions who are looking for ways to develop new or first-time managers. Additionally, current students or recent alumni would benefit from the training, which will support their professional growth goals.
