UMass Amherst to Announce Major Renewable Energy Initiative to Redefine Campus Operations and Address the Climate Crisis

Chancellor Kumble Subbaswamy will be joined by faculty and staff to announce an ambitious vision to transition the entire flagship campus to renewable energy. The plan has been two years in the making. The initiative calls for UMass Amherst to be a leader of carbon mitigation efforts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts while educating the next generation of leaders in sustainability.
