UMass ADVANCE Announces Collaborative Seed Grant Funding 2020-21
The UMass ADVANCE Program has announced the second round of seed grant funding to foster the development of innovative and equitable collaborative research projects among UMass Amherst faculty. Collaborative teams will receive a one-year grant of up to $15,000 and logistics support from the ADVANCE team to apply for external funding opportunities based on the seed funded project.
“We look forward to supporting the next round of grantees in carrying out equitable, inclusive and sustainable research collaborations,” said Jennifer Normaly, director of ADVANCE Research Collaboration and co-principal investigator on the ADVANCE team.
A letter of intent is due on Tuesday, Sept. 8 and the full proposal is due on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Announcement of awards will be made on Sunday, Nov. 1 and funding will be available in spring of 2021.
