The UMass Amherst Community Campaign (UMACC) has raised 70% of its $450,000 goal. Though the campaign closes on January 31, campaign co-chairs Barbara Krauthamer, senior vice provost for interdisciplinary programs and dean of the graduate school and Greg Carvel, hockey coach, are urging faculty, staff and retirees to donate and make their pledges as soon as possible.

Donations and pledges can be made via check, credit card and payroll deduction. Those who participate by December 20th will be entered in a raffle to win prizes including a free, reserved parking space for a year in almost any parking lot that they choose.

UMACC donors give to nonprofits all over the world, but local nonprofits rely on the generosity of the UMass community to support their work in Western Mass. Many of the nonprofits that UMACC donors give to help students, faculty and staff in the UMass community.

Krauthamer and Carvel say, “We believe that if we all come together, we can reach our goal and more importantly make an even bigger difference in the lives of those in need, while sending a strong message that UMass cares deeply about our community.”

Donate today at www.umass.edu/umacc or mail in a paper form. Pledge renewals may also be made by emailing jengallant@umass.edu with a request to renew.
